Violin and viola players experience a lot of different issues with their left hands. Tension in the thumb, not being able to play fast, vibrato issues- too tight or too floppy, tendonitis - and the list goes on. Many of those issues can be helped a lot by enhancing our understanding of how the hand is actually designed. Here are some of the questions we will address in this class on how to find space within your left hand:

Where are the actual joints in our hands? How can some people with small hands play very big violas? Where is the ideal place for my thumb? How does how I use the the whole arm impact how my left hand feels?

If you are experiencing any of the issues mentioned or something else left hand related this class might help you find some answers.
