Community during lockdown! Come and join Joely for Pilates practice - mindfully working on your posture, your core and building your strength and suppleness in your key muscles.
Joely is not a trained teacher but has been practising Pilates for the last 15 years learning with Linda Donovan, and she views it as an essential part of her well being as a musician.
Since lockdown in March she has led Pilates practice sessions three times a week with a treasured group of musical friends who share their passion for wellbeing in many different ways on a daily basis. As a group they have found working together in a supportive environment has been helpful, not only with regard to their physical wellbeing, but of huge benefit to their emotional and mental health too.
You will need to bring a mat, water, a towel and a band (long scarf or a dressing gown cord will do!)

Our community classes are based on a system of dāna. Dāna is the practice of cultivating generosity. At The Exhale, multiple hours of learning are given each week in the form of community classes, where the price of a class is recommended but not imposed. Those who teach these community classes volunteer their time and offer the revenue generated by it to faculty members who are in financial need during this unprecedented time in our collective history. We thank you for supporting this eco-system of giving and receiving!
Classes held via zoom, limited to small numbers. Community classes are free to attend, with a recommended donation per person. However, please donate what you can – no one will be prevented from attending due to financial circumstances.
