*Note. These sessions CANNOT be bought separately*The Koru Basic Mindfulness class is intended for those who are just beginning their journey in Mindfulness practice. Koru Basic offers a variety of meditations with specific goals for each class. Mindfulness shows us what is happening in our bodies, our emotions, our minds, and the world. (Thich Nhat Hanh) In this class, participants will gain experience with a variety of meditations, resulting in focusing the breath and quieting the mind. Koru Basic participants report improved sleep, feeling less stressed, being more mindful, and having greater self-compassion.
Jennifer is a Professor of Music at the University of Richmond, Richmond, Virginia, where she coordinates the Vocal Studies Program. She is also a certified teacher for the Koru Mindfulness Program and is involved in campus outreach centered on mindfulness and meditation.
The Koru Basic Mindfulness class will run over four dates.
